The remarks are delivered before some 2,000 people at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. In them, Obama quotes E.B. White in saying, “Boston is a state of grace.” He concludes by declaring that if those responsible for the bombings “sought to intimidate us, to terrorize us, to shake us from those values . . . they picked the wrong city to do it.
